Olaf Painted Easter Egg

Total Time

Olaf may love the idea of Summer but we think this Olaf painted egg brings the joy of Spring to any Easter celebration.

To make Olaf, you’ll first need to hollow out an egg and paint it white. The tutorial for prepping your egg can be found here.

What You'll Need
  • A hollowed out egg, painted white
  • Paper plate or palette
  • Paintbrush
  • Navy blue acrylic paint
  • Yellow acrylic paint
  • Orange acrylic paint
  • Brown acrylic paint
  • Scissors
  • Sheet of white paper
How To Make It
Step 1 / 15
  • Olaf - 3

Place dabs of each colour of paint on a paper plate

  • Olaf - 4

Paint a little dot of navy blue paint on the upper left side of a white egg from the prep tutorial

  • Olaf - 5

Next, draw a circle around the blue dot with the same colour

  • Olaf - 6

Do the same to the other side of the egg, these will serve as the eyes

  • Olaf - 7

Using the same navy blue, paint thick eyebrows above the eyes

  • Olaf - 8

Next take the orange paint, and under the eyes paint an oval sideways “C” shape

  • Olaf - 9

Then add a bit of yellow paint on top of the orange “C”

  • Olaf - 10

Now using the navy blue again, paint a small, long rectangle below the orange nose, keeping the top of the rectangle open

  • Olaf - 11

Paint a line out from the right side of the rectangle shape

  • Olaf - 12

Do the same for the other side

  • Olaf - 13

Then paint a half circle and fill it in for the mouth. Lightly add the top line to the rectangle tooth

  • Olaf - 15

Next using brown paint and a white sheet of paper, paint a brown square

  • Olaf - 18

Wait for it to dry, and cut the square out then cut off three strips of the square for Olaf’s little hair branches

  • Olaf - 20

Using glue, attach the three brown strips to the top of Olaf’s egg head

  • Olaf - 1

And here is the finished Olaf
